Dad read scriptures everyday. He would pray every morning and every evening with Mom. A long time Church goer since he was an infant, he would like to attend Church regularly. If he didn't get to Church he said he was just like a Communist. In the 1980's, after some tragic losses on the farm, he became a "born-again" Christian. At that time he started playing the guitar to sing along with a few nice Christian songs. When he played, he really did bring the presence of the Holy Spirit to where he was. When he noted scripture, he was as a finely tuned instrument asking pertinent, relevant questions and giving revelatory knowledge when he spoke. Jesus never had a Degree either but rather, only did as His Father would do. My Dad only operated from knowledge of the goodness of God even in the most strained or stressful moments. Not with very much formal education but with hands on experience and taught by his father how to run machines, my Dad operated combines, tractors, ski-doos and overhauled motors. He was like the mechanical engineer without the Degree which is even more genious. He cared so much for the whole family and worried and prayed all the time for his wife and children. That care he displayed is genious as well. "Just a closer walk with Thee,..." If only the world could care as much as my Dad, the world would be a better place.
