Louise and Family,
Our deepest sympathy. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time of your sadness. Dick was a good, kind and generous man and soldier. He was a good friend to me as I grew up in Alder Point and in the Army. He will be missed by all who knew him for his friendship, military knowledge and his own brand of humour. Once again our sincere condolences.

Louise and Family, we are so sorry for your loss and so sorry that we can not make it to the funeral. It is said the way we get to live forever is in the memories stored in the hearts and souls of those we love. I think Dick is going to live forever in our hearts. Richard talked about how when he was young, Dick always had time for him and the other "kids" I remember the laughs we had as Dick explained that he hid money under the collars of his shirt and how he used to dive for the bed after a night on the town..Which was okay until the bed was moved. I am still in awe as to how brave he was when he faced this last serious health challenge.
When he talked about his children and grandchildren his face just lit up....we will miss him.
Love Shirlee, Richard and family.

Dear Louise and Family. Please accept my deepest sympathy on this sad occasion. Many years ago I had the privilege of serving with Dick in Winnipeg and Germany. No matter what the weather or the circumstances he always had a smile as he discharged his duties with skill and dedication. Rest well my comrade - and Thank You.
