To Brent, Lianne & Sharon,
Iam an old friend of you fathers dating back to the National Store in 1968. My sincere condolences to all of you. I had the pleasure of renewing our friendship about three years ago when I was in Brandon and it was great to get caught up on events in his life, it was clear that his family was first and foremost in his life.

We were sad to hear that Bill passed away last week. We remember his smile and quiet confidence at dinner when he drove through Calgary.
Brent, Lianne and Sharon — while nothing I can say will take away the pain that comes when a father dies, I know that the pain will decrease in time, so that all those wonderful memories you have of your dad will be first and foremost when you think of him.

Dear Donna and family,
I am sorry that I will not be in Brandon to attend Bill's service on Wednesday as I am going to Hostfest in Minot for the week, which has been pre planned several months ago.
I have known Bill for so many years back to our snowmobile days and we had a lot of fun with him on the trails and all our trips to so many places.
I know you will miss him but also you and his family will have many many memories to help all of you get thru this sad time.
"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."
You have my deepest sympathy and hope we can get together some time when I return.
Hugs, Elspeth
