Obituary of Nina Dejmal

Nina Marie Dejmal died on January 29, 2014, of complications related to a stroke. She was born to Russel and Hope Belshee of Moro, Oregon on June 17, 1939.Nina married Ked Dejmal on August 20, 1960, after graduation from Eastern Oregon University. She taught school in Harper, OR, until they moved to Sweet Home where Ked taught school. Their daughters, Sheri and Lynette, were born in Lebanon. OR. In 1966 they moved to Eugene where son Alan was born. Music was a big part of Nina’s life. She played piano and organ in churches they were a part of and sang in choirs. One of Nina’s strong interests was genealogical research.Nina is survived by her husband, Ked; daughter Sheri Hagen of Susanville, CA, and her husband Carlin Hagen ; daughter Lynette Andersen of Ontario, OR, and her husband Dan Andersen; and five grandsons - Alan Hagen, Ethan Hagen (wife Sydney Bowman Hagen), Nathan Andersen, Joshua Andersen, and Luke Andersen. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Alan.A family burial was held at Lane Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 16, at 1:30 pm, at Eugene Friends Church, 3495 West 18th Ave., Eugene, OR.
