Obituary of Erline Reid
Erline Reid was born in Bristow Oklahoma on August 18, 1927 to Roy and Cora Hamner. She graduated from Elmira High School in 1945. She lived most of her life in Noti Oregon. She was married to Garland Reid for 58 years. She was a homemaker and mother to 3 sons and 1 daughter. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, playing cards, and cheering on the Ducks. She was known for her amazing cooking, especially her fudge. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren She was so easy to please and loved the small gestures and simple joys in life. One of her favorite things was receiving her annual flower delivery every May Day. She loved having big family get-togethers at her house. She enjoyed watching everyone visit and playing with her great-grandchildren. She said many times how lucky she was to have all of the family she has and appreciated all of the visits she received. Erline died on Febuary 12, 2014. Preceded in death by her brother Ron Hamner, her husband Garland Reid, her son Jim Reid, her grandson James Reid Jr. She will be missed by her surviving children Larry Reid of Florida, Don Reid of Noti, and Sandy Morris of Junction City; her grandchildren: Wendy Steele, Jenny Hamilton, Kris Dilley, Joanne Harris, Sarah Taug, Jon Reid, and Dana Torkelson; her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Katlynn, Trever, Ella, Grayson, Andrew, Mya, Jack, Nora, and Ethan. Per her request there will be no services. The family will be having a private memorial at a later date.
