Last time I saw him he didn't recognize me because I got sober. We had some laughs and planned to have beers by the river but that unfortunately didn't happen . "Adios" brother. The streets are gonna drip paint for you.

Greg was my childhood best friend. We met in Kindergarten and instantly became best friends, a friendship that lasted for years. He would do anything to make someone else smile and made every day better for everyone around him. He always had the ability to be the funniest kid in the room. I was devastated when he had to move schools in Grade 3, but we would still talk on the phone for hours every week. He was a brilliant artist, probably the most gifted sketcher and musician I've ever seen in my life. I remember when he was learning guitar, he would play over the phone and we'd just talk about music. When we got to visit each other we worked on a plan of what our home would look like because we were in Grade 7 and we were going to be best friends for life and both of our families would be there too. We ended up in very different groups in high school and slowly went our separate ways. I didn't see him for many years until I happened to buy a coffee table from a guy on eBrandon this winter and it turned out to be Greg! I gave him the biggest hug I could and just wished we could turn back time and get back all those years we lost. I never stopped thinking about him through all the years and always hoped that one day we'd find that friendship again. Greg was my brother and I love him.
My thoughts go out to his family and everyone who had the privilege of getting to know him.

Greg...as each day passes I grieve even more that you are no longer here to bring a smile to my face, the best hugs ever and your raw honesty and emotion...always masked by humour. I will forever be grateful to you for helping my Devon at the viewing and funeral for Matt. You shadowed her, made her feel safe..and reassured me as her mom. I will never forget you and my heart truly lies with your loving family who need to know how supportive and loving you were to so many people when they needed it the most. Our sadness is profound....Connie Ricker.

To my dear old friend Greg.
It has been along time since our paths crossed. We made a lot of great memories, from playing ball with Doug, Eric and Graham, to jamming in Charlie's Basement and making recordings on your parents answering machine. You were truly one of the most talented people I have ever known, from your art, music and humour. You will truly be missed.
Rest easy.

Joyce and family. So sorry to hear of Greg's passing. I have some fond memories of him, when the band practiced in our garage and when he came to the store, always so polite and always so cheerful, so full of life. Gone too soon. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I knew Greg for at least 15 years..and Greg was an happy go lucky guy...I never seen him upset...but I knew deep down things did bother him. I was a dj and he made a little dance for me called the cava dance...so everytime he saw me he would do it and we would both smile and laugh....truly he will be missed. Greg you are a man people will truly miss.

From the time he was just so little Greg could make you laugh. Ask him his name and he'd tell Gwegorwy...we laughed so he kept it up his whole life. And where do you live? Mana TOBA!! Never a worry in the world and always up for some fun, be it good or bad. As he sped thru his teens and 20's he was always getting into something, and so to me he became "The Little Shit" and he loved that and would grin. You never really knew for sure where he was...he loved trains and travelled extensively. Not in luxury but at a special low rate, I think they call it a box car! I was in Victoria a few years back. Down by the water I bought fish and chips, but looking up the hill I could see the only bench had someone sitting there, so I ate on the curb then ventured up the path. He looked like Greg..could it be..yup a voice called out "Auntie Ene"? We giggled, laughed all afternoon and went for lunch. Greg had something very special..the ability to make people laugh and feel good. Anyone who knew him will tell you that. I never once heard him complain or pull the poor me card.....no matter what he was given he went merrily on and got thru it...a loving, caring little "Bon Vivant" happy with what is and spreading sunshine everywhere. He led his life with Serendipity, and now spreads his wonderful soul in heaven.
Good nite "Lil Shit" I'll see ya soon hon...hugs

Gregory Armstrong…our nephew. Over the course of his life geographical distance has prevented us from spending time with him, however we have come to know and admire this amazing person through the incredible stories of love shared with us over the years from his adoring mother. His mom has painted a picture for us, an evolving picture of a happy child…a friendly guy…and a deeply caring man, who during the course of his short life touched this world in unique and meaningful ways. We have come to understand that Gregory's life has been both complicated and beautiful, and that his participation in living in this world has certainly been beneficial to the many souls who have crossed his path. It would seem to us, and perhaps to others that during his time with us, Gregory has been an Earth Angel, someone who comes here to bless us with his unique and special presence...to touch us with his smile, to brighten us with his laughter and to impart to us his wisdom. An Earth Angel knows our sufferings. An Earth Angel enlightens us in exactly the way we need whenever we happen to be in his presence. Perhaps at this time Gregory Armstrong has completed his special task on Earth. Perhaps it was his moment to be taken from us. Perhaps Gregory's message to the world is to practice love in the way we each know love to be. What a gift it has been to know this unique and amazing soul. "Gregory, we are sad that you are gone. Please know that we thank you for sharing your life with us. The glory of your journey shall not be forgotten."
With much love, Aunt Bev and Uncle Rob...Ontario.

I have too many memories of Greg to share just one, but the recurring theme in all of them is his smile. I rarely saw Greg without a smile and I will it on my mind forever.
