Obituary of Irene Hunter

Irene Hunter of Veneta, died February 23, 2014. She was 99 years old.Irene was born May 19, 1914, in Blachly, OR, to Frank and Bertha (Davis) Syphers. She was one of fifteen children. Irene was married to Waldo Hunter on December 2, 1933, at Olivet Baptist Church where they were both lifelong members. Waldo died in 1978.She is survived by three sons: Donald (Dolly) Hunter of Corvallis, MT; Delbert (Judith) Hunter of Veneta; Wayne (Judy) Hunter of Veneta; ten grandchildren, numerous great and great-great grandchildren and one sister, Clarrissa, of McMinnville, OR.A graveside service is scheduled for February 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Lane Memorial Gardens, Eugene, OR.
