Obituary of Walter Holt
Walter M. Holt passed away on March 15, 2014. He was born August 12, 1940 in Newark, California to Willard and Marie Holt. He was the youngest of seven siblings, Martha, Mildred, Bill, Frank, Ed and Elaine. Walter will be missed dearly. He later moved to Harrisburg, Oregon area to live the rest of his life. He served in the Army as a lineman for a couple of years in North Carolina. After the service, he married Twyla Hughes on August 14, 1965 in Junction City. He worked as a gas station attendant, upholstered furniture, loved working on cars, spent many years in the logging and plywood industry and later worked for A.M Bartzat in the mobile home repair business. He retired from working at Hayworth Farm. Not to mention the 25 plus years helping mom with getting up and running of God Store House, Needless to say they helped many people in the community, with the communities help. A big thank you to you all. He and mom had seven children, Bruce Holt, Randy (Crystal) Holt, Fred (Gloria) Holt of Junction City. Gloria (Arnold) Langendoerfer of Eugene, Celesta (Carroll) Rowden of Prineville, Kevin Holt of Pendelton, Gary (Gen) of Halsey, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all.
