Russell Lee Penn was born on July 24, 1952 and he passed away in March 2014 at the age of 61. He is loved by his family and friends alike. Born in Maryland, educated at the University of Illinois with a degree in psychology, Russ eventually spread his roots deep in Eugene, Oregon. His life was guided by his passions and colored by his relationships with others. He was an ardent supporter and participant of the Eugene music community, playing lead guitar in his own band and contributing generously to local music benefits and events. Nature was his muse and he immersed himself in it through photography, camping and rafting.
