Obituary of Joy Miller

Joy Joan Miller of Springfield, OR passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 6, 2014 at the age of 86. She was born on March 3, 1928 in Eugene, OR to Lester Dennis Cyr and Dorothy Mable Chase. She graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 1946. Married Melvin Marshall Miller on March 25, 1949. They were married for 65 years. They lived in Springfield. She was a homemaker and worked at Chase Gardens, Chase Produce Stand and in orchards of family members and cousins. Preceded in death by her great granddaughter, Allie Mattox. Survived by her husband Melvin Marshall Miller; son Earl Miller and Pam; daughters Sharyal Miller and Judy and Doug Abramson all of Springfield, Oregon. She has 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and sister’s , Dora Mae Kruger and Mary Balcomb both of Eugene, Oregon A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19th, at 2:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Woodside Assisted Living and Marquis Care along with Cascade Hospice for all the loving care given to Joy.
