Obituary of Geraldine Pons
Geraldine (Geri) Ann Pons passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 13, 2014. Geri was born on October 27, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to Frederick and Evelyn Schultz. The 2nd of 3 children she moved to California at age 6, where she grew up. Geri not only raised 3 children by herself, she put herself through respiratory school. She worked as a respiratory therapist for years, at hospitals and later doing home care. She volunteered for Ribbon of Promise and The Red Cross. She was a grandma to many and a friend to many more. Geri is survived by 2 daughters, Pam Griggs and Lisa Aguilar (Charlie) of Springfield, Oregon; 4 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 2 granddaughters-in-laws and 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, her son, David and son-in- law Milo Weston. The family would like to thank Sacred Heart Hospice for all their love and support. Geri also wanted to thank her daughter, Pam for giving up 4 years of her life to take care of her so she could stay at home. Services is at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home on Sat, April 19, at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Courageous Kids and Realy For Life.
