Obituary of Esther Overley

Esther M. Overley passed away Sunday April 6th, 2014 in Eugene Oregon at the age of 85. Esther was born on July 22, 1928 and grew up in Hollister, California. She moved to San Francisco where she met Carl W. Overley. They married in 1954 and moved to Pacifica, California. Esther moved to Eugene 20 years ago where she became an avid gardener, devoted member of Asbury United Methodist Church, and a loyal Ducks fan. Esther retired from Coca-Cola in 1982 after becoming the first woman in the United States to receive a quadruple bypass. She will always be remembered for her great sense of humor, her loyalty and her passion for helping others. She is survived by her son Tom (Sue), step-daughter Sandy, four grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a collection of pampered pets. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Sunday, April 13th, 2 pm at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1090 Berntzen Rd., in Eugene, Oregon. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
