Obituary of Robert Davies

Robert Alden Davies was born in Mitchell, Nebraska on April 15, 1927. At the age of 3 he moved with his parents to Phoenix, Arizona where he later began his work career in general aviation.In March 1948 Bob met Lietha Durkee in San Diego. They were married on September 21, 1950 in Phoenix. It was there they raised two daughters, Marion and Sandra.Bob later pursued opportunities in helicopter maintenance, eventually retiring from Bell Helicopter in CA in 1990. They returned to Arizona in 1996 until 2003 when they moved to Eugene, Oregon.The gospel came to the Davies family in Nebraska in 1929. Bob made his choice to follow Jesus on November 15, 1936 in Arizona. This commitment became his main focus, directing his choices and enriching his life and that of his family.He is survived by his wife, Lietha, two daughters, Marion & Dean Stickland of Olympia, Washington, Sandra & Mike Lefevre of Eugene, Oregon, two granddaughters, Sara Stickland of California, Susan & Scott Swanberg of Olympia, Washington and two great grand children, Justin and Catherine, plus many friends.Arrangements entrusted to West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
