Obituary of Betty Anne Lees

Betty Anne Lees of Eugene, died peacefully July 2, 2014. She was 90. Betty was born December 21, l923, in Upland, California, to LJ and Elsa Horsch. Betty married Howard Lees on April 19, 1947 in Upland, California. Betty Anne graduated from the University of Redlands, California where she was a member of AAUW and Alpha Sigma Pi. She worked for the publishing firm Holt, Rinehart, and Company, in New York City, New York. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Eugene. Betty enjoyed spending time at their lake house retreat in Lake Tahoe. Her love of the California beach was known to all who knew her. Betty is survived by Linda Stiegler and David Lees of Eugene, Laurel Brown of Las Vegas, and Britton Lees of Rancho Palos Verdes, California; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A private family service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
