Obituary of Clarence Rignell

Clarence passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on July 11, 2014. He was born one of nine children April 8, 1945 in Redding, California to Elmer and Anna Rignell . He is survived by his wife Barbara, of 52 years. Children, Butch, Curtis and Crystal, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Clarence moved his family to Eugene, in 1971 where he began a lifelong career in the wood industry, retiring from Swanson Brothers in 2013. In addition to raising their own three children, he and Barbara were foster parents to Kimberly and nearly 70 other children. Clarence belonged to the Lane County Sheriff’s Posse for ten years. He was involved with the gaming, performance and search and rescue. He was an avid horseman who passed his passion on to his children. Clarence spent many happy hours boating and riding quads and motorcycles with his family. Always ready with a wide grin and cheerful greeting, Clarence was well liked and respected by all who knew him. Memorial services……..
