Obituary of Glenn Case

Our amazing Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend passed away on July 16, 2014. He was born on October 17, 1929 to F. Earl and Pearl K. Case in Mt. Emmons, Utah. Glenn served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. On September 14, 1956 he married Joyce Barlow in the LDS Los Angeles Temple. They resided in San Leandro, CA where they raised their 6 children. Glenn was a letter carrier for 30 years. When Glenn retired in 1988 they moved to Oregon. Glenn was a very active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many important positions, and filled four full-time missions for the church. He is survived by his 6 children; Diana Denton (Tony) of Allen, TX, Debra Astle (Randy) of Kennesaw, GA, Kathleen Case of Springfield, OR, Marlene Stewart (Clair) Of Las Vegas, NV, Alan Case (Linda) of Ashland, OR and Christine Davis (Carl) of Hillsboro, OR, 19 Grandchildren and soon to be 11 Great Grandchildren, and one brother Carl Case of Indiana. His parents and his siblings preceded him in death. Glenn will be remembered for his testimony of Jesus Christ, his missionary service, love, and dedication to his family. He will be remembered for his vegetable and flower gardens, being a great home teacher, love of playing board and card games, love of sweets and him singing “Pickles” and “Ice Skating”. Funeral will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1155 President Street in Eugene, Oregon on Monday, July 21st at 10:30 with a viewing beforehand starting 9:30am.
