Obituary of Conrad Stewart

Conrad E. Stewart, 84 of Eugene, passed away on July 13, 2014 from Lewy Body Dementia. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 2:00pm at West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene. Conrad was born in Eugene on August 10, 1929 to Clarence and Ruby (Mott) Stewart. He served in the US Army from 1950-1952. He was a captain in the Eugene Fire Department and retired after 33 years. He married Charmayne Charley on September 8, 1956 in Eugene. Conrad and his wife, with the help his brother, Bud, built their home. He had a love for animals and always had a cat in their home. Conrad enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, Charmayne, and they visited places such as Australia, New Zealand, Alaska, China, and the beaches of Normandy. He also looked forward to summer vacations with his family spent fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife, Charmayne Stewart, of Eugene, and two daughters, Sheila Blair (Frank) of Noti and Shari Davis (Jack) of Eugene. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Petersen and a brother, Clarence ‘Bud’ Stewart. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Sacred Heart.
