Obituary of Martin Larsen

Martin Edward Larsen, 82, of Springfield, OR, died June 16, 2014.He was born on February 21, 1932 to Edward and Alma (Lathrope) Larsen. On July 15, 2000 in Springfield, OR at the Salvation Army Church, he married Yvonne M. Shaw. He worked as a millworker for 25 years at Weyerhaeuser and retired in 1990. Martin loved woodworking and gardening.He is survived by his wife Yvonne M Larsen of Springfield, OR; step-daughter Donna Jackson (Aaron) of Plymouth, CA; step son Samuel R. Shaw (Sandi) of Garden Grove, CA, step-daughter Velora L. Weber (Ron) of Fort Collins, CO; sister Mable Mattoon (Howard) of Leaburg, OR; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alma Larsen; an Aunt Rose Yeast; brothers Warren Larsen and Voyle Larsen; and a sister Viola Suchanek.Memorial services will be held at the Santiago Estates Club House, 5335 Main Street Springfield, OR, Thursday July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am.
