Obituary of Nadene G. Johnson

Nadene Grayce Johnson, 70 of Eugene, passed away on July 17, 2014 of natural causes. She was born in Eugene to Claude and Thelma (Gantt) Main on January 29, 1944. Nadene received her education in the public school system and upon graduating she attended the Eugene Beauty School. She embarked on a career of 40 plus years at the Studio of Hair Design.Nadene married Michael Johnson in Eugene on November 18, 1962. Together they raised two sons Mike and Chris. They had been married for 32 years before Michael passed away in 1994.Besides making people look their best she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially, the grandchildren. She loved gardening, card games and road trips. Nadene loved life and will be greatly missed.Nadene is survived by Mike (Carol) Johnson of Eugene and Chris (Sarah) Johnson of Springfield. She leaves behind five grandchildren; Steven, Chris, & Sammy Regis; Anna & Curtis Johnson; one great grandchild Ethan Regis; her sister Sandy (Paul) Yaniw; many nieces and nephews and her pet pug, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her husband Michael and her parents Claude and Thelma Main. Services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014 at Poole-Larsen Funeral Home at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow. Memorial Contributions may be made in Nadene’s name to the American Cancer Society.
