Obituary of Lela Dominy

Lela "Lee" Dominy (Martin) of Eugene, OR, died on Monday, August 11, 2014 of Liver failure complications at the age of 64 and is now in heaven with Jesus our GOD.She was born November 20, 1949 in Cottage Grove Oregon to William John Martin and Dorathea May McCollum.She attended elementary at Clear Lake Grade School and Shasta middle school in Eugene. She later got her GED at Lane Community College all in Eugene, Oregon.Lee and Sam Dominy meet in 1962 and dated for about one year in Eugene Oregon where she lived on Minnesota Street. Years later on March 31st 2001 they were married in Springfield Oregon. At the time of their marriage they lived in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Lee and Sam moved back to Eugene Oregon in 2012.Lee is survived by her husband Samuel "Sam" Dominy, four sisters and one brother; Louise Severson, Debi Linville, Lucinda Sentlinger, Marti Huffman, Robert Martin, four Children; David Watts, Terry Watts, Tami Watts and Brett Wayne Watts; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. Lee worked in retail for K-Mart and other stores, then she worked for Weyerhaeuser Workers compensation and the last outside the house job she had was working for Bunting Investments in 2000.Lee was baptized in Wheat Ridge, Colorado at Trinity Baptist Church in 2002, and was very active with the Kitchen and the Children at the Church, she was also very active with Hope House of Colorado (an outreach for teen age mothers) and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution in Denver, CO & Eugene, OR . Lee became a member of the River Road Baptist Church in 2013. Lee loved the Children of this world as everyone who knew her knows. Last year she joined the Sojourners RV club and loved the friends she made. The Service will be held on Monday, August 25th at 12:00 noon at the River Road Baptist Church, 1105 River Road, Eugene, Oregon. There will be two viewings at Lane Memorial Gardens, 5300 West 11th Ave, Eugene, Oregon. Sunday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and Monday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. There will also be a graveside service for the family at Lane Memorial Gardens after the funeral at the Church. For those who want to visit with family and friends, after the funeral is over, everyone is invited to Sam's house.
