Obituary of Stuart Haslip
Stuart James Haslip was born in Eugene, Oregon, June 4, 1984 and passed away on August 9, 2014 from Complications of Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID).He went to school in Eugene at Gilham and Coburg Elementaries, Cal Young Middle School and Sheldon High School. Some of his fondest memories were the football games he played for Sheldon High School. Stuart went to OIT in Klamath Falls for two years before transferring to the U of O. He spent 1 ½ years attending the University of Tubingen, studying German. He returned to the U of O, then spent a term as an intern at TUV Rheinland in Cologne, Germany. He graduated from the U of O in 2008.Stuart was a lifelong Oregon Duck Fan. He went to his first Duck Football Game when he was five and attended as many games as he could. Going to watch the Ducks play in “The Natty” was a thrill he treasured. When he could no longer attend Duck games, he watched every game on TV. He spent many hours reading and talking The Ducks.After graduating from the U of O, Stuart began his career at Northwest Community Credit Union. He then worked for Edward Jones as a Financial Advisor, his ‘dream job’, until he was forced to quit due to his health. Stuart was positive he could beat this disease and never, never, ever gave up.He is survived by his parents, Gary and Jeanne Haslip and his sister, Amy Haslip.At Stuart’s request, no services will be held. A gathering of friends and family will be on Sunday, August 17, from 2 to 4 pm, at the Haslip home in Coburg.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
