Obituary of Lynn Mohler

Lynn Mohler passed away on August 28, 2014 in Eugene, Oregon at the age of 82. He was born on November 7, 1931 in Los Angeles, California to Harold and Myrtle Mohler. Lynn graduated from Harrisburg High School and received a baseball scholarship to Oregon State and University of Oregon. He chose to attend Oregon State for 2 years before serving in the US Airforce. When he got out he went back to Oregon State for a time and then transferred to Oregon. He played baseball with the Oregon Ducks and Graduated in 1958. Lynn married Meridell Cooper Guindon in 1958. They lived in Eugene where he worked with his brother in Lane Vending. He was also a Bail Bondsman for 18 years. They moved to Spokane, Washington and later spent 25 years in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2012 they returned home to Eugene. Lynn loved baseball and golf. In 1977 his good friend Harmon Killebrew, Hall of Fame baseball player started a golf tournament in Sun Valley, Idaho for leukemia research. Lynn played every year for 35 years. Lynn was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by his wife, Meri of 56 years, brother Harold, nephew Greg, stepson Michael Guindon and stepdaughter Vickie Gartley, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Harlan and Ralph, sister, Georgeanne. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, September 2, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Latter Day Saints, 3132 River Road in Eugene, followed by a committal with Military Honors at Lane Memorial Gardens.
