Dear Diane. I am so sorry that you have lost your Dad. John was such a wonderful man, he always made us laugh and we always enjoyed his visits. I remember the first time I met him. Your Mum brought him to meet us and sat at the kitchen table and said "I only came because I was told there was pie!" Every time he came after that, he would come in the front door (on Francis St) and even before he said hello, he would ask, "Is there any pie?" I have a wonderful picture of him and Grandpa somewhere taken on a particular NY Eve which is hilarious and when I find it I will send it to you. It shows that wonderful smile and twinkle in his eyes. I know you will miss him but keep his smile going. Love you sweetheart Aunt lynne

Diane please accept my wife Sherry and my Deepest Condolences at your dad, my old friend Mitch's passing. I was sent this notification by a number of friends and co-workers of your dads and immediately felt the loss of a good friend. It's been a while since Mitch and I talked (emailed) but just last week was thinking I need to get in touch and go out for that lunch we talked about. When I read this about your dads passing the first thing that came to mind was when we were all in Tijuana. You and your mum went shopping (looking for that leather jacket) while Mitch and I sat at Caesar's bar all the time you browsed the shops. Next came the memory of all the lunches Doug, Mitch and me gad at Mario's Pizza... ( 1 hour lunches turned into an afternoon - with Murr reminding us "that will cost you a 1/2 days vacation guys" ) He was so proud of you and David and loved you all)... Sincerely, Ted, Sherr and the Kreibich family.

Pleasant memories of this former Paisley guy abound! As well, we remember when John and Cathy lived in Meneset Park, Goderich at the same time as my parents resided in the park. Our sympathy to the Mitchell family! Hugh and Katharine Watt

Diane. I am so sorry for your loss. Although I never met your Dad I can see that you share the same smile and I'm sure the same wit and intelligence. May your memories bring you comfort. Janet Williams
