Lisa Maybee

Obituary of Lisa Ann Maybee

The world lost one of its most generous, kind and loving souls on August 25, 2014. On that date, Lisa Maybee lost her courageous and vigorous battle with illness. Lisa was born May 19, 1961 in Los Angeles, California. She moved with her family to Bellevue, Washington and spent her childhood there, graduating from Newport High School where she was a champion gymnast and a cheerleader. She went on to graduate from the University of Washington, before moving to Eugene where she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Oregon School of Law. She made Eugene her home and flourished as an attorney in her community. A generous and caring spirit, Lisa had a true zest for life and lived it fully at all times. Lisa’s smile and personality made people feel special. She touched many lives in a positive and loving way. Lisa had a true gift for finding the best in everyone she knew, and had countless lifelong friends whom she considered family. From Africa to Paris, she travelled the world with the love of her life - her spouse Rhonda Fenrich. Each year, Lisa and Rhonda organized and provided Christmas gifts and a party for the residents of the Valley West Retirement Home whom otherwise would not have had a Christmas. Lisa also donated generously to many charities and causes and was a true lover of all animals, big and small. Lisa is survived by her spouse Rhonda, her beloved dog Cooper, her father David, and, siblings Laurie, Jeff and Ken, as well as her cherished friends and family. Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Maybee. Please join us in celebrating Lisa on August 30, 2014 at 12:00pm at the Emmaus Lutheran Church in Eugene. Lisa requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to either the Elephant Sanctuary in Hohenwald, Tennessee at www.elephants.com, or the ”Rack Pack” Susan G Komen Eugene Walk for the Cure Team. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary. Please sign the guestbook at musgroves.com
