Obituary of Norma Jolly
Norma Jean Jolly passed away August 31, 2014 at the age of 85. She was born Feb. 6, 1929 in Geddes, South Dakota to Floyd F. and Ollie R. (McMillen) Miller. She attended Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, and received a Bachelor of Science in Education, then attended Oregon State University and received a Masters of Education. She taught elementary grades in Lyons, Oregon, Anchorage, Alaska and Bethel School District in Eugene. She was able to enjoy a few extra years of life while participating in experimental treatment for cancer, which was her cause of death. She attended the Eugene First Church of the Nazarene where she had many friends. Here first love of sports was to play golf with friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed it with her girlfriends and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wayne R. Miller of Roseburg, Oregon and sister, Martha Myers of Cheney, WA. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Eugene First Church of the Nazarene.
