To Jane and Randy, We read your Mom's obituary this morning and thought it was a beautiful tribute to her as well as the family sense of humour coming out in it. My husband and I laughed at the reference to your Mom's preparation for working at Simpsons. It made us think about my husband's uncle Harold Van(delinder) who worked in the men's department for many years. He might have been one of her challenges! There is such sadness at the time of the passing of a wonderful mom. Thinking of you, sending our condolences.

I'm sorry for your the loss of your mom. I know your mom and dad enjoyed gardening and I would see them working on Jane's garden in between their own planting at their Oakridge home. Now they can garden together once again. Rest In Peace Nora!

We are saddened to hear of Nora's passing. Her strength and sharp wit are legendary. Will never forget the year she and Percy spent Christmas Eve with you and Kimberly, and Santa came through the door. He immediately spotted her and catching the sparkle in her eye said, "I know you. You were naughty this year." She just smiled a little smile and said nothing, a rare moment for her. Our thoughts are with you, as we remember her fondly.

Sending our deepest sympathies to the family. I remember bringing our daughters to see Aunt Nora at Simpsons on our trips downtown, especially at Christmas to see the windows.

Dear Randy and Jane, I was so very saddened to hear of Aunt Nora's passing. We have lost the last Mizzen from this very special generation and family, and she will be missed. I will remember her beautiful vivid blue eyes, huge infectious smile and sense of humor. She always had a twinkle in her eye when she was telling stories of growing up with all those siblings during the Depression. When I was at Western I would drop in time to time to say hi to her when she was working at Simpsons, and was always greeted with a big hug. I am so glad we got to spend time with her at my parent's 60th Wedding Anniversary party. I hope all your happy memories give you comfort during this tough time. Love, cousin Laura
