Obituary of Milton Morey
Milton A. Morey of Eugene passed away August 31, 2014 at the age of 83. A private family inurnment will be held at Lane Memorial Gardens in Eugene. Milton was born September 19, 1930 in Halsey, Nebraska to Milton and Mable (Van Arsdale) Morey. He graduated from Salem High School in 1948 and received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon in 1958. In 1949 he married Betty Klemple. They divorced in 1951.He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict and was stationed with an air postal unit in Japan. While there he married Dorothy Baker. They divorced in 1975. He married Judy Ramstead in 1996. Milton was a practicing CPA for 38 years and for most of those years he was self employed. He was an active member in the Parkinson’s support group in Eugene and co-chaired it for five years. He also was a money manager for the AARP money management programs and a SHIBA volunteer. He enjoyed reading, collecting casino chips and Wii bowling. Survivors include his wife Judy of Eugene; five sons, Ron Gentemann of Salem, Oregon, Dennis Morey of Germantown, Maryland, John M. Morey of Eugene, Scott Wilson of Fosston, Minnesota and Neal Wilson of Dennison, Minnesota; two daughters, Diane Patton of Tucson, Arizona and Mary Jean Morey of Sutherlin, Oregon; a brother, Marvin A. Morey of Dallas, Oregon; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Wilson, and a brother, Maurice Morey.
