Obituary of Mildred Korth
Millie died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, August 15th at the age of 96. Beloved wife for 53 years of the late Don Korth and mother to the late James Korth of Eugene. Millie is survived by her son Don (Susie) of Medford, daughter in law Linda Korth and her grandchildren Kelly Korth Thakkar , Kimberley Korth Williams and Steve Korth. She is known affectionately by her ten great grandchildren as 'GG'. Her greatest passion and joy has always been her family.Born in 1918 in Illinois to Delta Williams and Oscar Martin. Mildred grew up with her younger sister Louise and as a teenager, moved out to the west coast. She met and married Don in 1938 and the two of them spent many years growing peaches in Southern Oregon, and developed what came to be known as 'Korth Orchards'.Millie worked as a school secretary for a number of years and later in life, volunteered her time to help young children learn to read. As a young mother, she spent countless summers camping and fishing with Don and the boys. Millie loved to bake and golf and enjoyed passing on these passions to her grandkids. To this day, she is famous in the family for getting not one but TWO hole in ones!Mildred and Don spent some of their best years in Arizona, golfing and making friends from around the globe. Some of her sweetest moments though have been shared with and treasured by her great grandkids: Ellie, Libby, Whitney, Aidan, Alex, Austin, Stephen, Joel, Kenzie and Kailee who have loved and cared for her in these last years as she has become increasingly frail. Thank you grandma for loving us and helping teach us how to love. You will be truly missed. As is Millie's wish, there will be no formal service. Instead, the family will gather to remember her privately.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary. Please access the obituaryat musgroves.com
