Obituary of Karen Wareing

With peace and great dignity, Karen (Lyon) Wareing passed away on June 4, 2010 at LHSC-Victoria, following a courageous battle with cancer. Loving wife of Kevin, spectacular mother of Mark, Michael and Aaron, precious daughter and daughter-in-law of Herb and Ellen Lyon of Gravenhurst and Jean Wareing of Exeter, wonderful sister of Ken of Calgary, Gary of Barrie and Sharon Gordon, of London. Recently-celebrated mother-in-law of Rachel and future mother-in-law of Julie Atkinson. Much-loved by family and friends. Karen graduated from London Central and earned a BSc from the University of Guelph before pursuing a successful career in retailing. Her first loves were family and travel and playing her violin. A visitation is planned for 7 – 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 6th at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North where a Celebration of Life for all family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and would like to thank the superb medical teams at London Regional Cancer Centre and Victoria’s Palliative Care Unit for the care and support.
