Obituary of Bob Merckling

Bob A. Merckling passed away at the age of 90 in Springfield, OR on September 10, 2014. He was born on September 3, 1924 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Robert and Nellie Merckling. He grew up in Okmulgee. In 1942, the family moved to Vernonia, OR.On January 6, 1952, Bob married Margie Helen Williams in Portland, OR. They resided in Vernonia after they were married. In 1955, they moved to Springfield, OR. Bob worked at Wyerhauser until his retirement.Bob is survived by his wife, Margie, two sons and two daughters. Ken and Judy Merckling of Junction City, Kay and Andy Cline of Springfield, Jan Peterson of Eugene, Douglas and Yvonne Merckling of Harrisburg, OR. Bob is also survived by ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Bob's family loved and cherished him and will miss him very much.In 1986, Bob gave his heart and life to the Lord and enjoyed reading his Bible and having fellowship with others.Bob's family would like to thank Gateway Living for all the care that was bestowed upon Bob the last few months.
