Obituary of Daniel Alexander Hodgson

Suddenly at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, August 15th, 2012, Daniel Alexander Hodgson of London, in his 38th year. Beloved son of Duncan and Karen Hodgson of Appin. Very special brother of Robert Hodgson of Leamington and Janine (Nina) Hodgson-Baines of Petrolia. Dan is also survived by his brother-in-law Jerry Baines, nephew Elijah and niece Ainsley. Dear nephew of John and Stella Hodgson, Dan and Kathy Hodgson, Judie and John Bruner and cousin of Darlene and Greg Bennell, Allan and Marilyn Hodgson and Scott and April Hodgson. He will be missed by his housemates Sam, Gary and Kevin and many, many other friends and support workers from his family at Community Living London where he has been supported for the past 35 years. Holding Dan on his way from this world, was his mother, Karen and life-long family friend and support, Dr. Sandy Gerrard. Dan has enriched our lives so much over the past 37 years, how to love unconditionally, to conquer adversities and to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. He has made us the people we are today. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, August 18th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. In honour of Dan’s life, memorial donations may be made to Community Living London or Beattie Haven Retirement Community (Wardsville).
