Obituary of Richard Doolittle

A memorial service will be held at 10am on September 13th at the Westside Baptist Church, 1310 Echo Hollow Road for Richard Harvey Doolittle of Eugene who passed away on Friday, September 5th of pneumonia. He was 78. He was born on August 1st, 1936 in Cottage Grove, Oregon to Hugh and Ruth Doolittle. He married Mildred (Millie) May Gilman on April 16th, 1960 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Richard was a college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Oregon and served in the US Army from 1956-1959. He worked at Kernut, Brandt, Stokes and Company for 46 years as a CPA. He then retired and enjoyed all the time he had available to spend with his wife. Then Millie got ill with cancer and died in May 2010. Survivors include a son, Robert Lee Doolittle of Stayton, Oregon; a daughter, Sheri Lynn Kilday of Eugene; six grandkids, Ryan Vernon Cox of Eugene, Daryn Lee Cox of Cheshire, Kalena Lynn Losano, Ricardo Losano, both of Eugene, Jerame Thompson of Utah, Konnie Marie Kilday of Eugene; a daughter-in-law, Donna Doolittle and a son-in-law, Devin Kilday of Eugene.
