Obituary of Robert McGregor
Robert (Bob/Mac) Wayne McGregor, 73, was born April 7, 1941 in Santa Rosa, CA to John & Ruth McGregor. He went to be with our Lord and Savior after a hard fought battle with many health issues. He was surrounded by family and friends.Bob married Doreen Hansberry on July 23, 1960 in Seaside, CA. Together they moved their family to Dexter, OR in 1972 in pursuit of the country life and wholesome living for their kids. He worked in the automotive and RV industries for many years before retiring. He had many hobbies but among his favorites were fishing, crabbing, hunting, woodworking and good meals with family and friends. He had a great love of family and most especially children, and responsible for most grandchildren’s first taste of sugar. He was passionate about his faith and reading the Bible and often shared his love of the Lord to those he came in contact with. He loved to laugh and was the instigator of many pranks; he could make anybody smile in any situation. He made the world a better place with his generosity to those less fortunate than himself.He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Doreen McGregor, daughter Sheri Morris (Dave), son, Steve McGregor, daughter, Sandy Caverhill (Cougar), 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, siblings and granddaughter Kaylene Abbey.His life will be celebrated September 13th at 1 p.m. at Mac’s Little Claim.
