Obituary of Rhea Eleanor Hillier
Rhea Eleanor Hillier (Cornell), London, Ontario, age 77 years old. Originally from Point Edward, Ontario. Also residency in Sarnia, Forest and London, Ontario, passed away, peacefully after a long illness at her residence on Friday, June 22nd, 2012. Wife of loving husband Ben Hillier for 57 years. Loved mother of Lorne E. Hillier and daughter-in-law Gerarda (Smith) – Hillier. Predeceased by son Martin A. Hillier (2008). Loved by her granddaughters Olivia Hillier (London) and Brittany and Courtney Hillier (Watford) and by her grandsons Matthew and Brendan Hillier (London). Predeceased by her mother Rhea (1974), her father Sandy (1972), her mother-in-law Evaleen (2005) and her father-in-law Lorne B. Hillier (1992), all of Point Edward. Also predeceased by brother Hartley Cornell (1997) of Sarnia, sister Maxine Renchko (1986), brother-in-law John Renchko (1981) of Mount Pearl Newfoundland. Survived by sister Pat Mandley (Cornell) and brother-in-law Harold Mandley (Dunnville), sister-in-law Margaret Cornell (Peters), brother Vince Cornell and sister-in-law Cheryl Cornell all from Sarnia. Eleanor was an Aunt and Great Aunt to several nieces and nephews. She was associated with The Boy Scouts of Canada as a 66A Cub Master (AKLA) of Richards Memorial Church, London East, for 15 years. Also Eleanor was a Guildwellian and also an Associate Member with the RCL for over 30 years. The Hillier Family thanks Dr. Schmidt, Dr. McCormack, Dr. Muirhead and Nurse Eva Gyacskov-Melter for their excellent care of Eleanor over these past years. Appreciation also goes to Jeff Pond and his Associates at London Home Respiratory Inc. Visitation of family, relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 26th from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, June 27th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Sarnia. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Eleanor to the Lung or Kidney Foundations would be greatly appreciated.
