Obituary of Donald Doerner
Donald Eugene Doerner Senior of Eugene Oregon, on September 15th 2014, passed peacefully at the age of 76 at River Bend Hospital.Born March 11th 1938 in Jersey City, NJ. Don was a resident of Eugene since 1977. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed bowling, woodwork and cars. Don was a member of the armed services where he served with the US army as a printer and cartographer. Don worked, and retired, in the printing and binding industry within Eugene. A long time member of UCT, Craftsman, Moose, and Eagles lodge, Don was involved with the community and with his children’s schools.Preceding him in death were his parents (William and Louise); 3 brothers, and 11 sisters. He is survived by his wife Linda, of 20 years, brother Billy, Sisters Edith and Virginia, his children Donald Jr. and his wife Kim of Eugene, Dan and his wife Candace of Eugene, Karl and his wife Janine of San Francisco, step-daughters Kimberly Bell and husband James of Eugene, Rebecca Fisher and husband James of Cottage Grove, and 11 grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm October 5th at Fairfield Church of the Nazarene. The family asks in lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to the American Heart Association in Don’s name.
