Obituary of Lt. Colonel Raymond Maurice Homewood

At the McCormick Home, London, on Thursday, April 26th, 2012, Lt. Colonel Raymond Maurice Homewood (R), of London, in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Amy Ireson (née Eacott) Homewood. Dear father of John and Dorothy Homewood, of Calgary, Gillian (Cameron) and Dennis Brown, of Toronto, and Ray and Diane Homewood, of Listowel. Loved by his nine grandsons, one granddaughter (Chandra) and two great-grandchildren. He will be missed by sister Elsie Revell, of Hamilton, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Dorothy (née French) Homewood in 1953. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. The funeral service will be conducted at the Salvation Army Citadel, 555 Springbank Drive, London, on Monday, April 30th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, on Tuesday, May 1st, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Salvation Army Gifts of Hope or to the McCormick Home Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
