Obituary of Ian William Fraser

Peacefully with family by his side after a three year courageous battle with prostate cancer at Victoria Hospital on Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Marjory for 60 years. Loving father of Pam (Rhod) McCormick and David (Leslie). Proud grandpa of Andrew (Deja), Jessica, Natalie, Leanne (Mike) and great-grandfather of Nevaeh and Elijah. Dear brother-in-law of Ronald Kelly and Delia Kelly. Predeceased by his grandson Derek (1981), sister-in-law Eileen Kelly (1993) and brother-in-law Norman Kelly (2005). Ian worked as a chef in the British Merchant Navy for 10 years. He later worked for Labatt Brewery for 25 years and was the Past President of the National Brewery Workers, Local 1. Ian resided at Windermere on the Mount in London. Special thanks to Dr. Malik, Dr. Schreier and the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital. Funeral service will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, March 31st, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
