Obituary of D. Stuart Wanless

Passed peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on March 17th, 2012 at the age of 87. Devoted companion of Marie Walker. Loving father of Karen Noble (Peter), Leslie Powers (Len) and the late Kim Wanless. Proud Poppa of Gwen Fickling (Joe), Kaitlyn (Nelson Thibodeau), Matthew (Melissa) Powers and Craig Wanless, and great-grandfather of Zachary, Tyler, Riley, Cayden and Logan. Dear brother of Bill Wanless (Shirley). Stuart was a retired employee of Canadian Timken and a member of St. David’s Masonic Lodge, the “Hillbillies” and the Duchess of Kent Legion. He enjoyed model railroading, golf and travel. He will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched. A memorial service and Masonic service under the auspices of St. David’s Lodge #302 A.F. and A.M. will be conducted at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, March 23rd, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment, Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Thomas. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Stuart are asked to consider the R.C.R.
