Obituary of Merilyn Ann Bowman

Peacefully surrounded by family, on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Parkwood Hospital in her 72nd year. Daughter of Winnifred and the late Harry Cowling. Loving mother of Linda MacLeod of Deseronto; Mark (Julie) Bowman of London; Patti Clark (Cathy Manherz) of London; Heather Bowman (Derek Swartz) of Welland; and Michael Bowman of London. Lovingly remembered by eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Predeceased by brother Wayne Cowling. Merilyn was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School of Nursing in 1959 and was employed by St. Joseph’s Regional Mental Health Care (LPH) for 29 years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Inurnment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Merilyn are asked to consider the Schizophrenia Society of London or the London Mental Health Association.
