Obituary of Wendell Hugh Davidson

Of London passed away after a long and difficult battle with diabetes and cancer at Victoria Hospital, Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 in his 70th year. Born in St. Thomas on April 28, 1942, son of the late Laura and Ronald (Hap) Davidson. Survived by sister Vivian (Gary) Ashton of St. Thomas, brother Brian (Adrienne Buchanan) of Toronto, niece Laura (Brad) Duguay and their children Brooklyn, Erin and Peyton of Aurora, Ohio, nephews Sam Davidson, Hayden Buchanan and Shaun (Tracy) Ashton. He will be sadly missed by his aunt Erma Curtis of London and several cousins. Wendell taught school in St. Thomas and London 1961-1967. Joined London Life Insurance as a computer programmer and later as a Job Evaluation Analyst and a Learning Consultant with the HR Department until his retirement in 1997. He was active with Christ Church, London. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Friday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Memorial service will take place at Christ Church, 138 Wellington Street, London, on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Donations may be made to Christ Church or a charity of one’s choice.
