Obituary of Michael Mackey

Michael Bryan Mackey "Mikey", age 30, of Colorado Springs area, formerly of Springfield, Oregon, died Sept. 15, 2014.He was born July 10, 1984 in Eugene, Oregon to Michael Stephen & Sarah Linda (Stout) Mackey.He attended Springfield High School and Lane Community College.He worked for Lane Forest Products in Creswell, OR; he also worked in the construction industry, which included remodeling Three Rivers Casino in Florence, Oregon.His passion was art, and he left behind beautiful artwork for his family and friends to enjoy. He loved camping, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his family and friends.He is survived by his parents, Steve & Alice of Creswell, OR; his 5 children: Sahaliy Lynn, Allia, Jaden, Liam, Mihkyia; his grandmothers Bernice Mackey and Elizabeth Stout, and his extended family-Gaylord, Kenneth, Thomas, Deanna, Mary, Jerry, Joseph, Troy, Teresa, Logan, T.J., and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah, his sister, Cindy Walker, and his grandfathers, Ray Mackey and Herman Stout.A viewing will be held Mon., September 29, 2014, from 1-5pm at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Sat., October 4, 2014 at Lakeside Open Bible Community Church, 82677 Lost Creek Rd., Dexter, OR at 1-4pm.
