Lori, Dave & Regan Cowie posted a condolence
Erin and family, Heartfelt condolences on the loss of Paul. May you gain comfort knowing he is at rest. This poem gave me comfort when we lost my brother and I hope it does the same for you. With deep sympathy, Lori, Dave & Regan Cowie Death is Nothing at All Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away to the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, That, we are still. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort. Without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same that it ever was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you. For an interval. Somewhere. Very near. Just around the corner. All is well.

I once worked in the same office as Paul, and will always remember him as someone who was very generous with his smiles and hellos. He left an impression, as all wonderful people do, and I know he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My deepest condolences to all of his loved ones.

Paully our friend and confidant .... forever in our hearts and minds. Tara and family, may you find comfort in each other at this sad sad time and celebrate all that Paul brought to your lives. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there; I did not die.

Tara and the girls, Erin and the rest of Paul's family, words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I see his picture on here and it is surreal. Approximately 23 years ago I first worked with Paul and we became more than work friends. At gatherings both work related and not so work related, Paul was always happy to be there, quick with a smile and a funny off beat remark. Before I moved away I saw glimpses of the man he was to become. I wish I could have known more of that man as I can see he has done very well for himself. He may have been taken too early but all signs point to him living very fully with a loving wife, beautiful kids and an extremely wonderful, supportive group of family and friends: a very wonderful legacy. Rest In Peace Paul, you gave it one hell of a fight.

I have nothing but the best memories of Paul as we worked together as lifeguards. Not only were we colleagues but also friends and I am so very sad that we have lost such a wonderful person. I am sending my thoughts and most of all my prayers to his family. He was simply a wonderful person and I feel honoured that I had the pleasure of knowing such a great guy.

Paul, The other day, I had such a random thought of you and our many great times at Scouts/Beavers. Maybe it was not so random. I hope you are in a happy place. May you rest in peace my old friend.

I knew Paul for only a short time, approximately 16 years ago, when I was just starting out as a lifeguard, and Paul was a supervisor. I remember Paul very well, however, because of how kind he was to me. Despite the gap between us in age and experience, Paul spoke to me as though we were equals. His warmth and kindness made him stand out to me and I recall looking up to him for those reasons. I am very sorry to learn that he left this world far too early. I am thankful to have known him. My prayers are with his family.

I was very sad to hear about your loss. I met Paul and family as a visiting R.N. about 6years ago. He was a brave, kind young man who loved life and his family. Although I visited for less than a year, I have thought about him and his family often so it is with great sadness that I write this condolence. He was too young and it was too soon for him to go but he is now at peace. Warmest thoughts and peace also to his family .

I have so many wonderful memories of Paul. We were friends for years while working as lifeguards. We hung out a lot and went on a few roadtrips etc along with other friends. A week at Delawana Inn and a New Years in Horseshoe Valley come to mind, along with countless evenings at the Oar House. I was always happy to run into Paul as the years went by - I'm pretty sure I ran into him when he was on one of his first dates with Tara, and once on a plane when he was heading on vacation with his family - I knew he had been sick but he seemed happy and healthy that day. Everyone loved Paul because he was a sincere, warm, fun guy. He will certainly be missed. My condolences to the family.

Dear Tara & Family: We hope that your memories of Paul will help ease your pain during this difficult time. Though it is impossible not to mourn your loss, try to remember the joy and blessings he brought to your life. We hope you find the following quote, by John Harricharan, comforting: "The caterpillar dies so the butterfly could be born. And, yet the caterpillar lives in the butterfly and they are but one. So, when I die, it will be that I have been transformed from the caterpillar of earth to the butterfly of the universe.'' You are in our thoughts and prays.

Tara and the girls, John and Marian and the rest of Paul's family, I know there are no words that could even come close, to helping ease the pain that you must be feeling right now. Paul was a very special person and I will never forget him and his big smile. Death leaves a heartache No one can heal; Love leaves a memory No one can steal.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Paul's family. It has been a long time since I have seen Paul as we went to Westminster S.S. together. A co-worker who also went to Westminster told me of Paul's passing. I was so sorry to hear this news and suddenly remembered sitting at lunch hours with Paul and having a great time. He was a very kind person and always made me laugh. He had a great smile and he wrote very kind things in my yearbook. His personality and his kindness will be the memories that Paul's family and freinds will hold near to their hearts. Rest in peace.
