We have many fond memories of the times we shared with Bonnie as her neighbours for several years. Her kindness will always be remembered by us. Our children often enjoyed her hospitality, including the use of her pool, and shared wonderful times with Nicole and Jennica under Bonnie's watchful eye.We send our thoughts and prayers to John and the entire family. Sincerely, Judith, Anthony, Pierce, Lauren and Rachel

My condolences to John and the family. Bonnie was a great mentor to me when I first started with The Wine Shoppe. I'll always remember her cooking up a storm in the bathroom in the back room of the Oakridge store for Wine Club. Bonnie was a person who just dug in and got the job done as her family can attest to. Rica Malcomson also sends her condolences.

Bonnie and John have been my neighbors for years, they have seen me grow up and transition through lifes trials and tribulations, encouraging me every step of the way. They both understood the importance of family in the way they loved their own and the way they loved their neighbors. It is for that reason that i considered Bonnie as a great friend and member of our family. She was always there for us, always making sure our heads were held high and that we remained optimistic regardless of what had been bothering us that day. Both Bonnie and John complimented each other so well and demonstrated what it meant to be perfect neighbors but great friends to our family as well. As you both extended your hands to our family during our loss, we shall do the same to your family. We will be there for you John, as we celebrate Bonnie's life. Love, Matthew Sparkes and family

It was an honour to take care of Bonnie during her illness on the Oncology Unit at Victoria Hospital. She was so determined to do the things she had set out to accomplish. She loved her family so much and she put them first. She drank champagne while an inpatient on Christmas morning, not wanting to change the tradition, despite being hospitalized! She was an amazing lady and had an amazing family. My thought are with you. Andrea Pollard, RN

As Andrea said, I had the honour and privilege of being a part of the team that cared for Bonnie over the 4 years she spent time on C7 Oncology. Bonnie was a joy to know; throughout all the challenges that were thrown her way....and there were many...she never lost her sense of humour (!) and her dedication to her family. Her family, in turn, were there for her, every step of the way; and many of those steps were beautiful pirouettes. I have learned a lot about living and dying from Bonnie. Susan Collins, NP

Dear Stevens family ~ So sorry to hear of the loss of your wife and mother. It is a difficult time for you and I pray that you will be comforted by your memories of her life. We were your next door neighbors for a few short years on Woodhaven. Bonnie was always very kind to my children Andrea and Mark who were just toddlers back then. (1987 -1991) and often made them treats to enjoy. I remember Bonnie as a great neighbor with a big heart and always a loving word to my little ones and a friendly wave and smile whenever we saw each other. My children are all grown up now as well. Our family has been in the USA since 1991 and we has resided in Texas since ''96. Sincerest condolences from Joyce, Ian, Andrea and Mark Buchanan

Todd's Queen's MBA Team posted a condolence
To Todd and the Steven's family - We were so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. Knowing Todd through his MBA - when Bonnie was first diagnosed - it was clear how much of a positive force she was in Steven's family - and how much she was loved. While we didn't know Bonnie personally, we felt like we came to know her in hearing of her determination and triumphs as she courageously battled through her remissions. Love doesn't end here . . . and goes on through the memories and impressions one leaves on us - as will be the case with Bonnie. Thinking of all of you and wishing you peace and comfort. Know that she is always with you - watching over and guiding. Much love - Christian, Gillian, Laura, Vera, Bruce and Martha. Love you Todd. xo
