Obituary of Norma Jean Zeable
Norma Jean Zeable, 91, died peacefully on September 24, 2014 in Eugene, Oregon. A devoted military wife and mother, she was born in Breckenridge, Texas; grew up in Deming, New Mexico; and traveled extensively throughout the world before settling in El Paso, Texas, where she lived until the death of her husband, Lt Col Victor C Zeable, in 1988. Jean, as everyone knew her, subsequently moved to Oregon where she spent the remainder of her life. She remembered fondly her years in Deming with her mother, Lela Kelley Poe and stepfather Edwin Millikin, and a host of friends and family with whom she remained in touch.She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Peterson of Oregon, son Joseph Zeable of Arizona, and daughter Victoria Zeable of Oregon, as well as 4 grandsons and 5 great-grandchildren in Arizona. She ended all phone calls to her family with “I love you more.” We love you more, Mama, Mom, Ma and Grandma.Graveside service at Ft.
