What a wonderful man. Bob's joy for life and his laughter hold such a strong place in our hearts. It was always a pleasure to meet Bob and Miriam and we shared good times growing up. He is a real inspiration and will be sincerely missed. We hope you are surrounded by love and good memories and can hold on to those things to guide you through the challenges of his passing. Love from Grant and Mary Allan, (Robert and Alice's son) Doug, Susan, Janet, Nancy and Families

We remember your Mom and Dad as great neighbours and friends on Elvaston Drive in Toronto. Your Dad always enjoyed watching, and yes, helping Bob whenever he was tackling jobs around our home. We served together on many committees at Victoria Village United Church. May you have wonderful memories to turn to for comfort, family and friends for support, and hope and strength to help ease your sadness at this difficult time...With our love, and sympathy, Bob and Carol

We really enjoyed our times with Bob and Miriam during the early 1970's - when we were all in Winnipeg - and lived only a couple of blocks apart. Bob had a great sense of humor and was an inspiration - an amazing man. We have great memories of both Bob and Miriam and are saddened to hear now of Bob's passing.

There seems to be a theme developing here. I will join the list of people who had the pleasure of being a neighbour of Bob and Miriam. Our neighbour relationship quickly progressed to a wonderful friendship that included their entire family. Their support and encouragement of me during the London years is deeply appreciated. I will miss Bob's wit and wisdom just as I miss Miriam's caring and thoughtfulness. I thank them and their family for many wonderful times spent together. With sincere sympathy, love Lynda

Bob: what a remarkable man! I first became acquainted with Bob and Miriam as neighbours of my daughter, Lynda. When he made the move to Richmond Woods retirement home after Miriam's death, we talked frequently on the phone and I was able to drop in for visits from time to time. I appreciate, too, contacts I have made with Bob and Miriam’s family who have been kind and considerate of me and Lynda. I have many fond "Storey memories": a Canada Day spent around the pool with the family comes to my mind today. I will miss Bob. Most sincerely and with sympathy, George

I have had the privilege of being Bob's "across the hall neighbor" since I moved to Richmond Woods. His cheerfulness, friendliness and determination have set a great example to me in accepting changes in my life. Just last Thursday we were having 'entertainment' in the Great Hall, and Bob , using his walker, walked up the hall alone to the program. A truly outstanding man.

Patsy, I am sorry to hear father has passed away and your mother and sister before him. It has been many years since you lived on Portugal Cove Road and I was around the corner on New Cove Road. I remember when you moved to Winnipeg, though I am sure I did not understand how far that was from St John's. I remeber your father built a house for your dog, and if I remember correctly her name was Dinah. With Sympathy, Arlene
