Obituary of James Potts

POTTS, James Brian – In London, on August 1, 2011, James Brian “Jim” Potts passed away in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Lois for 36 years. Loving father of Carolyn Moore and godfather of Victoria Bowman. He is also fondly remembered by his grandchildren Taylor and Justine Moore and their grandmother Belle Potts. Jim is survived by his sisters Marilyn MacRae (George) and Shirley Kirkwood. Jim was an educator with the London Board of Education for 35 years. He was a member of the former London Flying Club and an avid golfer. He played with numerous musical organizations over the years including the Police Boys’ Band, The Encore Concert Band, the London Symphony Orchestra and several dance bands. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to attend a gathering to honor Jim at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Saturday, August 6th, 2011 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Jim are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program.
