Obituary of Carol Black

It is with great sorrow and sad hearts that her family announces the death of Carol Lynne Black (nee Tapp) on Tuesday, July 5th, 2011. With her beloved and loving son, Brian Thomas Watson and daughter-in-law Christine by her side, she has peacefully gone to join her loving parents, Ross and Reta Tapp (1995) and beloved husband of 26 years, Lorne Black (January 15, 2011). Carol will be sadly missed by her step-daughter, Sherri Black. Carol was surrounded by the love of her family and will be sadly missed as a dear sister, sister-in-law and best friend to Dennis, Keith and Nancy, and Wendy and Doug. Carol was a cherished aunt, dearly loved by Dwight, Darlene, Keirsten, Stephen, Lyndsay, Kasey and Britt. Carol touched the lives of all she knew, with her outgoing personality and engaging smile. She will be missed by her circle of friends, many whom she kept from childhood, especially Melita Thompson who traveled from Victoria, B.C to help care for Carol in her final weeks. Special thanks to the VON nurses and support staff who provided care for Carol so she could be at home with her family. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the funeral service being held on Saturday, July 9th, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation and interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
