Obituary of Leslie Maureen Petter

Leslie, a loving wife, daughter, daughter-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, granddaughter, niece, aunt, friend, teacher and coach. Passed away peacefully and with courage; surrounded by family on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 at Victoria Hospital, London, at the age of 47. Soulmate and wife to John Michielsen, beautiful daughter of Barbara Petter (Richard Stoltz) of Acton and Ted (Diane) Petter of Kincardine, daughter-in-law of Maria Michielsen of Parkhill (late Leopold Michielsen), a wonderful older sister to Jeff Petter (Brenda Bradshaw) of Vancouver and Marnie MacDonald of Milton. Leslie was a devoted Aunt to Caleb and Liam MacDonald, Elliotte Petter and Charlie Murphy. Leslie will also be sadly missed by extended family and many, many dear friends, colleagues and students of Medway High School in Arva. Visitation will be held at the WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday from 1:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at Medway High School, 14405 Medway Road, Arva, on Sunday, May 15th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in honour of Leslie, please consider the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Transplant Association.
