Obituary of Ilda de Sousa Gallego Rodrigues

Suddenly, on Friday, July 31, 2020, in her 89th year. She leaves behind her beloved husband Vitorino, of 63 years and daughter, Grace (José). She was the dedicated grandmother of Annette (James) and Ashley (Chris); and great-grandmother of Harrison, Charlie and Henry. Ilda is also survived by her brother, Manuel (Deonilde) and sisters-in-law, Gabriella (José), Olga (Julio), and Felicidade (Eduardo), as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings: João, Julio, Deolinda, Natividade and José; and brothers-in-law, José and Artur. A private funeral for immediate family only will be held. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Ilda are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. “Love triumphs over death. Ilda continues to be loved and therefore, remains by our sides forever. Nothing on earth can make up for the loss of one who has loved you.”
