Obituary of Carl Richard 'Dick' Crackel

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carl Richard ‘Dick’ Crackel on Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at The Village of Glendale Crossing, London, in his 84th year, after a long and courageous battle with Pick’s dementia. Beloved husband of Linda (née Clays) for 44 years. Loving father of Lesley (Anthony) Turudić, of London and Tanya (Jeremy) McIntyre, of Cochrane, Alberta. Proud Papa of Luka, Amelia, Isla and Ainsley. Survived by brother Ewart (Nancy), of Chatham, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Nancy King (2019). A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, July 11, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. If booking for multiple people, please include their contact information as well. Please note: as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, https://thebao.ca/registrars-directive-changes-to-funeral-and-visitation-attendance/ attendance numbers will be restricted. Please be aware that Covid protocols are in place which may preclude some from being able to attend and masks are mandatory. Cremation to follow. Private family interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Dick are asked to consider Autism Ontario – London Chapter or Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
